The Quilted K is owned by husband and wife duo, Augustus and Brooke Kluttz. Their mission is to blend multidisciplinary skill sets to curate the one stop shop for all things in the equine and agriculture industry, so you get to focus more on stepping onto a horse you truly love.
Augustus is the main trainer and director of operations at The Quilted K. He has spent his entire life watching and learning training skills and techniques from his father who has ran his own successful training business for 20 years. As he grew, he sought out opportunity to hone his craft from PRCA caliber cowboys and AQHA champion horse trainers. He is dedicated to continue growing his arsenal of knowledge, but is confident in his competencies to produce high caliber horses at this stage of his career.
Much like her grandmother who took great pride in coaching, training, and hosting clinics both internationally & all throughout the U.S., Brooke loves sharing the tips, tricks, & secrets that have been poured into her with others. She is fortunate for the access to resources, training, & knowledge she's had from NFR qualified & World Champion cowgirls whom learned from or worked with her grandmother. She has great honor in producing a product that her clients have confidence in & that she can be proud of.
At The Quilted K, we don't believe in a one size fits all program. At the core of our business, horse training, we recognize the importance of meeting each and every horse where they are and tailoring a regimen to them that will bring out their best self.
In order to make sure we are curating an optimized environment for training, we must ensure we are operating as consistent learners, always seeking insight to improve our methodology and ultimately perfecting our craft.
We are exceptionally proud to say that Augustus is a U.S. Army Veteran who selflessly put his blossoming bull-fighting/rodeo career & horse training business on the backburner to serve our country. After a successfully served contract full of many accomplishments & accolades, Augustus is excited to reinvest full-time into his previous career endeavors.
